Applying for Coverage - Alternative Insurance Plan & the Service Package

• Can you tell me more about the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP) Alternative Insurance Plan and the Service Package?
• The FLTCIP Alternative Insurance Plan (AIP) is a long term care insurance plan that offers some long term care benefits for applicants with certain medical conditions as defined below.
  
  The Service Package is a non-insurance option that offers care coordination, general information and referral services, and access to a discounted network of long term care providers.
  
  Applicants who are declined using an abbreviated underwriting application and answered "yes" to one or more questions (in Part B, 1 through 7) will receive information about the Alternative Insurance Plan or the Service Package (or both) to review at no obligation. Individuals who are offered both can decide which, if any, they wish to purchase.
  
  Applicants who are declined using a full underwriting application and answered "yes" to one or more of questions (in Part B, 1 through 6) will receive information about the Service Package to review at no obligation. These individuals are not eligible for the Alternative Insurance Plan.
