New User Help Icon The Meaning of Icons and Symbols

We use several icons and images on this website as symbols for certain documents, tools, or general sections of the site. An explanation for each icon appears below.
 
Icon Meaning
Print-Friendly Page Version Icon This icon means the web page is available in a "print-friendly" format. The print-friendly format eliminates the borders and images on a page and allows readers to just print the primary content.
Not a Print-Friendly Page Icon This icon means the page does NOT have a printer-friendly version available.
Change Type Size Icon This symbolizes the instructions on how to increase or decrease the type size on your screen.
New Icon This symbol appears next to new text or articles loaded to the website.
LTCI Tools Icon This icon is a symbol for the Long Term Care Insurance Tools. These tools are designed to help you determine if long term care insurance is a financially viable option for you.
Calculate FLTCIP Premiums Icon This icon is a symbol for our Premium Cost Calculator, which allows you to enter plan options and factors like your age to get an approximate personalized quote for up to four different plans.
FAQs Icon This icon symbolizes answers to questions we receive from current enrollees as well as applicants and potential applicants to the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP).
Cost of Care Icon This dollar sign symbolizes our Cost of Care tool. The Cost of Care tool allows you to calculate the cost of care in a specific region of the country. This tool helps you determine how much long term care insurance you may need based on where you live or plan to live.
Payroll Office Identifier Tool Icon This arrow symbolizes our Payroll / Annuity Office Identifier tool. Use this tool to locate your Payroll / Annuity Office Identifier number if you are applying and wish to have your premium payment deducted automatically from your paycheck or annuity, or if you have been using another payment method and would like to switch to annuity / payroll deduction.
Current Enrollees Icon This symbolizes the Current Enrollee section of the website.
Agency Benefits Officer Icon This symbolizes the Agency Benefits Officers section of the website.
