Link to LTCFeds.com Online Consulting Tool.Long Term Care Partners, LLC announced the launch of the Online Consultant Tool at www.ltcfeds.com/oct, which employs video, interviews, charts and other interactive features to educate those in the Federal family planning for long term care in their later years. The tool will help walk users through the necessary steps to plan for their potential care needs.

The Online Consultant Tool is part of The Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP) website, www.LTCFEDS.com, which features extensive information about long term care, its costs, how to pay for care, and the FLTCIP.

"The FLTCIP's Online Consultant Tool helps bring to life the important need to plan for long term care, a task many of us may try to avoid, but one that has the potential to derail even the best retirement planning," said Paul Forte, Chief Executive Officer of Long Term Care Partners. "The easy-to-use, self-service device has an array of vital information and provides guidance about the overall topic and about the FLTCIP, specifically. We are excited to make this tool available to help our customers plan ahead for the long term care needs they may have at some point."

Users can enter the benefit selections they want on interactive screens and the tool does the rest, producing a coverage summary and associated premiums. Making changes is easy, and users can explore various benefit selections. The tool will then update the summary and premium results as changes are made.

Other great features include:

  • The Cost of Care Map allows users to compare the costs of long term care in various U.S. cities and estimates the future costs of care based on rates of inflation, enabling users to plan ahead.
  • An explanation of the FLTCIP's key benefits, including more complex features like inflation protection.
  • Stories of families impacted by a loved one's need for long term care. These moving interview segments speak to the costs, both emotional and financial, that occur during a long term care event.
  • The end result of using the Online Consultant is a print-out that will help potential buyers choose the plan that is right for them.
