Important Notice: New FLTCIP Regulations and Application Suspension Period
The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) suspended applications for coverage under the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP) effective December 19, 2022. This was done to allow OPM and the FLTCIP carrier, John Hancock Life & Health Insurance Company, the time to thoroughly assess benefit offerings and establish sustainable premium rates that reasonably and equitably reflect the cost of the benefits provided, as required under 5 U.S.C. 9003(b)(2). About FLTCIP Premiums
Long term care insurance is a complex, experience-based product. Because of this, assumptions are made about many factors at the time premiums are established. Learn how FLTCIP premiums are managed and invested and what factors lead to possible premium increases.
Submitting a FLTCIP claim is now easier than ever. To improve your benefits experience, we developed a new Claims dashboard. Log into your MY LTCFEDS account to start submitting your reimbursement requests for claims online.
Online Account Security
We strengthened the security of your personal information by increasing authentication when accessing your MY LTCFEDS account. This is a common security practice referred to as "two-factor" or "multi-factor authentication."
FLTCIP Learning Center
We offer online educational resources for FLTCIP enrollees to help you learn more about your FLTCIP coverage. You can register in advance for our upcoming webinars or watch on-demand webinars and videos at your convenience.
